AUS hosts international authors during Sharjah Book Fair

American University of Sharjah (AUS) played host to a number of prominent, international authors during its Visiting Authors Week from November 2-10, 2016. The authors were in the emirate for the Sharjah International Book Fair.

The writers who visited the AUS campus included Terry Fallis, Deborah Alma, Abubakar Adam Ibrahim, Rupi Kaur, Sister Souljah, Omar Shahid Hamid, Daawy, Eric Van Lustbader, Yana Vagner, Elen Caldecott, Ciler Ilhan, Holly Goldberg Sloan, Anne Buist, Graeme Simsion, Vladislav Bajac, Vladimir Arsenijević, Gary A. Rosen, Naomi Shihab Nye, Dragan Velikić, Jenny Balfour Paul, Helena Frith Powell, Claudia Gray, Ayisha Malik, Daniel Lak and Harris Khalique.

The authors spoke about their work and careers and participated in question and answer sessions with students, faculty and other members of the AUS community.

The Visiting Authors Week was organized by the AUS Department of English, in collaboration with the Sharjah International Book Fair.
